The Earth Needs You

Deforestation wipes out over 15 billion trees each year, while carbon emissions continue to trap heat, pushing global temperatures to dangerous levels. Rising sea levels threaten millions, and extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and deadly. The damage is accelerating, and without action, entire ecosystems and communities will suffer irreversible consequences. Climate change is happening now, and every moment counts.

Deforestation

A soccer field of forest is lost every second, leading to carbon emmisions and habitat destruction.

Sea Level Rise

Global sea levels have risen over 8 inches since 1880, putting millions of coastal homes at risk.

Extreme Heat

The number of extreme heatwaves has tripled since the 1960s, killing thousands every year.

So, 60% of all procceeds from sponsors go to enviromental charities.

We host montly game jams centered around a unique, environmental related theme to combat the afromentioned issues. Through our tier-based sponsorship system, we allow developers, players, and companies to sponsor us for certain awards leading to real-world impacts. Thus, 60% of proceeds from sponsorships go to environmental charities. Additonally, sponships help fund our organization, to pay for cash prizes, and make our jams run better with the remaining % of the proceeds.

Jam for the Planet is a game jam initiative dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues, and raising funds for environmental charities. By empowering developers of all skill levels to create games that educate and inspire action, we bridge the gap between technology and sustainability, to make an impact on the planet.

Jam for the Planet aims to build a community to bridge the gap between environmentalism and game development. We work towards environmental awareness through game development. By bringing together developers, and environmentalists, we hope to inspire change, and fund real-world charities.
